Russian stocks seen flat amid not very favorable background
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- Russian stocks are not projected to change much at the opening on Monday amid falling oil prices and decreasing U.S. futures, analysts said.
“Today, before the opening of trading, the external background is again not very favorable. The U.S. futures are down by 0.25%, oil is losing a little more. However, we have repeatedly seen how the external background improved during the day. In the meantime, we are waiting for the opening of trading near Friday’s (December 4) close,” Alor Broker analyst Alexei Antonov said.
Promsvyazbank chief analyst Bogdan Zvarich expects sales in Russian shares at the start of trading on Monday, which will push the MOEX Russia Index to 3,170 points. If the foreign background improves, the Russian stock market may recover and win back the morning losses, he said.
